(1895–1982)

Luke Anguhadluq was born in 1895 in Tariunnuaq (Chantrey Inlet), NU. He spent the majority of his life living on the land in an Utkuhikhalingmiut camp and in the late 1950s he relocated to Qamani’tuaq (Baker Lake), NU and began drawing at the age of 73. In his work he depicted hunting, drum dancing and people in his community. Over 80 of his drawings were featured in the Baker Lake Print Collection and his work is held in numerous major artistic collections.
