(1915–1989)

Kingmeata Etidlooie was a graphic artist and sculptor from Kimmirut (Kimmirut), NU. Settling in Kinngait (Cape Dorset), NU, in the mid-1960s, she joined the West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative and went on to produce many striking visuals in prints, drawings and paintings. As one of the first users of the Co-op’s painting studio, Etidlooie was regularly able to experiment with her medium, establishing her own unique style as a result.
