Mosusie Uniurtitak Ainalik is from Ivujivik, Quebec’s northernmost community. Since strength is vital to the Inuit’s survival in the north, often traditional games that were played for fun would also help build strength and endurance, traits needed for hunting. This sculpture portrays two men pulling a piece of bone from opposite directions to see who is stronger.
