Inuit Nunangat is the Inuit homeland in Canada, encompassing the autonomous land claims regions of Nunavut (Kitikmeot, Kivalliq, Qikiqtaaluk), Nunavik, Nunatsiavut, and the Inuvialuit Settlement Region inclusive of land, water and ice. It includes 53 communities and encompasses roughly 35 per cent of Canada’s land mass and 50 per cent of its coastline.
